Clearly at their wits end, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has scheduled a meeting with the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, for January 2025.
This decision comes amid ongoing efforts to resolve internal disputes threatening the party’s cohesion.
During an emergency meeting in Abuja, BoT Chairman Senator Adolphus Wabara criticized the National Working Committee (NWC) for delays in convening a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.
Wabara pointed out that the NWC’s inaction has deepened mistrust among party members and hindered progress on pressing issues.

The PDP, grappling with leadership struggles and factional disagreements, faces increasing calls for reforms.
The BoT is now focusing on restoring unity and ensuring collaboration among its leaders.
Starting the new year with renewed efforts, the BoT plans to engage Wike in dialogue aimed at fostering lasting peace within the party.
