The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared All Progressives Congress (APC), Lucky Aiyedatiwa winner of the Ondo State 2024 governorship election.
Governor Aiyedatiwa polled a total of 366,781to defeat his closest rival, Mr. Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 117,845, while Olorunfemi Festus of the Labour Party (LP) came third with a score of 1,162.
The final result for the off-season election was announced today, in Akure, the Ondo.state capital by INEC Returning Officer for the election and Vice Channcellor of Federal University, Lokoja, Prof. Akinwumi Olayemi Durotimi.
Prof. Durotimi declared, ”Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of the APC having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of lawful votes cast, is hereby returned elected.”
