Actors Guild Of Nigeria Reacts To Zack Orji’s Death Rumours

President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas has debunked news making the rounds that veteran Nollywood actor, Zack Orji had died. Unconfirmed reports filtered in on Tuesday morning stating that the actor gave up the ghost in a hospital at Abuja. But reacting to the news via his Instagram page, Emeka said: “Mr. Zack Orji is alive 100%. Please ignore the mischief makers who enjoy circulating fake news. This is to show how wicked some people can be. It is totally unacceptable”. Orji who supported President Bola Tinubu during the presidential election was rushed to the intensive care unit of a private hospital in Abuja early this year due to failing health. Orji was also reported to have undergone brain surgery.
Veteran actor, Amaechi Muonagor Seeks financial support for kidney transplant

Veteran Nollywood actor, Amaechi Muonagor has called on Nigerians to assist him financially to carry out a kidney transplant in India. In a video circulating on social media, the popular actor was seen laying on a bed, pleading for help. His Nollywood colleague Kingsley Orji, who was seated next to him, made an appeal on his behalf. Orji revealed that Amaechi Muonagor left the teaching hospital some days ago due to financial constraints. He stated that the illness had affected his speech and urged fans and well-wishers to contribute for a transplant surgery. “It has not been easy. He has been in this condition for months now. He wants to go for a kidney transplant. What we want is for you to help us for him to travel to India,” Orji said. “He just came back from the ICU in Nnewi teaching hospital a couple of days ago. He was responding to treatment but not very well. “We decided to bring him home because there was no money but it is not advisable. He barely talks well. Please, he needs your help.” Recall in November 2023, Amaechi Muonagor had cried out for help after revealing that he was battling paralysis which has affected half of his first leg.
Actor Sisi Quadri Buried Amid Tears

Late Nollywood actor, Quadri Oyebamiji, widely known as Sisi Quadri, found his final resting place in his Iwo hometown on Saturday. The actor died on Friday while he was undergoing treatment at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso. The actor’s body, transported from Ogbomoso, arrived in Iwo on Friday, leading to an outpouring of grief. A large gathering of residents, colleagues, and well-wishers attended prayers held at an open field near his residence. Following the emotional ceremony, Sisi Quadri was laid to rest in front of his house in the Agbowo Area of Iwo. Toyin Olaiya, former governor of the Association of Nigeria Theater Art Practitioner in Osun State, and leader of the theater group Sisi Quadri joined in 1996, expressed shock over the actor’s passing. Olaiya disclosed that Sisi Quadri fell ill while working on a film set, highlighting the unexpected nature of his death. Olaiya shared, “When I heard of his illness, I told some of his contemporaries that trained under me to visit him. I was told he had been moved to a private medical facility in Iwo for treatment. I never thought it would result in death.” Sisi Quadri is survived by his wife and two children.
